1. What did you do in 2010 that you'd never done before?
Did news correspondence overseas, learned how to train people, and also worked in organizing a campaign for Earth Day.

2. Did you keep your New Years resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't think I made any last year, but this year my resolution is just do it. Not to rip off Nike, but far too often I come up with ideas of stuff I want to do, but never accomplish them. Not this year.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No, but there are a few pregnancies going around.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Nope.

5. What countries did you visit?
England and Ireland.

6. What would you like to have in 2011 that you lacked in 2010?
Reconnect with people I haven't talked to in a long while.

7. What date from 2010 will remain etched upon your memory and why?
I can't remember the date, but the day I finally became A&E editor. It had been a goal of mine forever.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Interviewing a lord and lady at the House of Lords and advancing at work by becoming A&E editor at the Lion's Roar.

9. What was your biggest failure?
As always, procrastination.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nothing other than the occasional head cold.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
I didn't buy it, but I received an awesome flip video camera from my mom for my birthday.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
My bestie Deshi, because she brings sunshine even on an overcast day.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Mostly intolerant people.

14. Where did most of your money go?
Rent, gas, bills, etc. I don't think this answer will ever change for me.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
New Orleans Comic Con that will happen at the end of this month. :D

16. What song will always remind you of 2010?
Kesha "Tic Toc."

i. happier or sadder? Happier.
ii. thinner or fatter? Maintaining.
iii. richer or poorer? Richer.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Writing in my journal. I hate thinking I've lost memories bc I didn't record them.

Watching television.

20. How did you spend Christmas?
Celebrated Friendsmas on the 21 with the besties, baked cookies with Nan on Christmas Eve, hung out with mom Christmas day, and saw Black Swan that night with my besties. :3

22. Did you fall in love in 2010?
N/A.

23. How many one night stands?
N/A.

24. What was your favorite TV program(s)?
Definitely Glee.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Nope, I actually let go of some of my anger towards some people.

26. What was the best book you read?
"Forest of Hands and Teeth." I hated the romance part, but the zombies and overall world building in the story was amazing.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
The Flaming Hares Asian radio hour. I listen to it every week now.

28. What did you want and get?
A new i-Pod.

29. What did you want and not get?
I still haven't gone to the British Film Museum. D:<

30. What was your favorite film of this year?
It's a tie between Piranha 3-D and Black Swan. Huh, what a combination.

31. What did you do on your birthday?
Went drinking the night before to celebrate at midnight. Ate at La Carreta with Bonnie, Aeriel, Megs, Jim and Chad the following night.

32. What one thing would have made your year more satisfying?
If I had created my personal Web site by now.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2010?
Whatever I want to wear.

34. What kept you sane?
I'm not really sure to be honest.

35. Which celebrity did you fancy the most?
Johnny Depp?

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Wikileaks, because it is going to change a lot of things about what we do online.

37. Who did you miss?
Old friends I used to talk to.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
A bunch of people in the theatre department. I love them so. :3

Since I've been dead for like... 2 years+ on LJ, I figured the best way to let people know I was alive and kicking was to post a meme about my year in review. So here it is!

1.What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before? Became a certified critic, went to Europe, worked on a student film, graduated college, moved away from home, voted for a winning president.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I never keep my resolutions.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth? My Deshikins' brother had a baby girl named Amelia.

4. Did anyone close to you die? No, but a lot of my favorite actors/celebrities did. R.I.P. Bettie Page.

5. What countries did you visit? Germany, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, France and England.

6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008? More money, part of a master's degree, an internship, a satisfying relationship.

7. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? December 13th. Two years ago, it was the day of my greatest failure and this year it's the day of my greatest accomplishment.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Graduating, becoming a critic, being voted for best A&E journalist at Southeastern.

9. What was your biggest failure? Procrastinating too long on projects.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury? No, but I did suffer emotionally from the stress my last semester had given me.

11. What was the best thing you bought? My iPhone. I love that damn thing.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration? My friends who always support me.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? A certain woman who made my last relationship hellish to say the least.

14. Where did most of your money go? Rent, gas and my other bills.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? Traveling outside the country and finishing school.

i. happier or sadder? I feel I have more experience and that makes me happier.
ii. thinner or fatter? Same ol' cuddle bear.
iii. richer or poorer? I really lack in the green these days.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of? I could have done better with Philosophy, done more writing, had been a president APO deserved, re-connected with old friends.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of? Procrastination. It is the one vice of mine I really hate.

20. How will you be spending Christmas? I celebrated with my friends at my apartment on the 23rd, then spent it with my family on the 24th and 25th.

22. Did you fall in love in 2008? I thought I was close to it, but I realized it was more of me wanting it to be real than it actually being real.

23. How many one-night stands? None. I'm a classy gal.

24. What was your favorite TV program? House, Law and Order: SVU, Scrubs, Avatar.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? Yes.

26. What was the best book you read? A lot of my reading dealt with school this year but I enjoyed reading about Nietzsche.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery? Mother's Anthem.

30. What was your favorite film of this year? Hands down The Dark Knight.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? I was working on a student film during the day and then I went swimming with my roomies. I was 26.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? Financial stability.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008? 80's Meets the Mafia.

34. What kept you sane? Movies, coffee, good friends.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? None this year.

36. What political issue stirred you the most? The election. Pretty much made history.

37. Who did you miss? Friends who've moved away this semester and friends whom I rarely get to talk to.

38. Who was the best new person you met? Aeriel's brother Rande is cool.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008: The computer age will be the death of us all.
